The Poem: Soil & Stardust
Remember:
we are made of mud
and the stars.
We belong to the ground
and the sky.
Wherever we go
the Earth holds us
and when we look up
we see ourselves
reflected back.
There is nowhere we could go
where we wouldn’t be home.
Soil and stardust fill my heart,
and the trees, the sun, & the rocks
know me and say,
(with clapping and shouting):
Yes! Yes! Yes!
You are a part of us,
and we’re so glad
you’re here.
